MJ: I appreciate you taking the time to write this article. I am one of the businesses that am Deaf-friendly in a large Deaf populated city Denver, Colorado. I am a massage therapist, sign ASL, and try to be sure that Deaf who seek a massage know that I am here to easily discuss needs. Perhaps later you could have such a listing. Thank you, Trudy.

Martha: I thought about starting a deaf friendly stores list in Atlanta Area a year ago. I read your article. I'll get busy and create a webpage for the deaf in Georgia. Thank you!
Also I want to start a list of deaf owners in Georgia. Help them to make a good living! I am tired of companies that don't hire deaf and hard of hearing people in Georgia.

Please allow me to introduce my self, my name is Helena Barbour, I loss my hearing March 25th, 2005, at the age of 46, I have been deaf over a year now and learning ASL. It has been a struggle for me as a late deafen due to the fact that I’m so use to hearing, now I’m trying to get use to not hearing which is a very big adjustment for me. I trying to handle it as best as I can. God is strengthening me through all of this. I’m a Producer and have a TV show which I’ve had for over 3 years can be seen on (BCAT) Brooklyn Community Access Television Cablevision Ch 68, & Brooklyn Time Warner Ch 35 and also seen on the internet. Since I loss my hearing I started meeting deaf people in the deaf community, now I would like to incorporate and educate hearing people on deafness.
These are just a few topics that would be converse/and discussed on the show:
Born Deaf, Late Deafness, Deaf Community, Deafness -who it affects, What it is like being deaf, Deafness and Hearing Loss, Degrees of loss- Normal, Mild, Moderate, Severe, Profound, also ASL,

Michael: I have thought along the same lines myself. I have seen many companies that either: block my call, take my call then hang up, tell me I have to hang up and call a special number that's been set up to "handle these types of calls", tell me about their policy of not accepting "handle these types of calls", or tell me (in English) that they don't understand English and just hand me off to a janitor who naturally can't help me.
I am extremely supportive of this idea.
