The Net is filled with job-hunting websites, but the number of sites created especially for deaf and hard of hearing job-hunters is limited.
These sites are popular because they offer opportunities to work in positions with some link to the deaf community - a big plus for many deaf and hard of hearing workers.
Although mainstream job sites like Monster.com offer keyword searches, deaf-related job openings often appear in specialized deaf employment websites first.
There are also some companies, such as UPS and the Post Office, who have historically been deaf-friendly employers.
We're going to look at what's available online for deaf and hard of hearing job seekers and list links to some known deaf-friendly employers.
One point to remember about posting your resume online: Law enforcement sources have been reporting a rise in identity thefts related to online resumes.
It would be a good idea to provide an e-mail link for contact purposes, and leave your address and phone number off. This can reduce your exposure to identity thieves.
Here, then, are a few good places to search for deaf-related work:
HireDeaf - Best of the bunch - plenty of current listings, well organized, covers entire USA http://www.hiredeaf.com
deaf-usa-jobs mailing list (A Yahoo Group) Not perfect - it requires registration, and includes too many ads for educational opportunities. But it can be a good resource if you are willing to wade through the ads.

Deaf Digest - It's mainly an e-mail newsletter, but it also has website, with a jobs page that specializes in captioning jobs. Check the newsletter for more - you can subscribe at the website.

OhSoEZ.com - limited listings, but fresh and well organized. Wear sunglasses for protection from the site's Playskool colors.

Gallaudet University Personnel Office - The deaf community's educational mecca. Competition for jobs here can be fierce.
